Gobind tops Selangor DAP elections

PETALING JAYA: Results for the Selangor DAP state committee are out, with Gobind Singh Deo receiving the highest number of votes at 736.
The Selangor DAP convention was held Sunday to elect the new state committee.
Ronnie Liu made a comeback, garnering 649 votes. Tony Pua and Hannah Yeoh were once again voted into the committee, receiving 495 and 554 votes respectively.
Ong Kian Ming and Teng Chang Khim, received the least votes, only 414 each.
Among those voted out include Yeo Bee Yin who received 384 votes.
Lawyer Dr Abdul Aziz Bari was among three Malays appointed to the committee. The others were Young Syefura Othman and Edry Faizal Eddy Yusof.
They were appointed after none of the Malays who ran for the election won.
The results were announced at around 5pm.
