SUBANG JAYA: There is more than meets the eye in a video clip which showed a female driver battering a guy’s car with a steering lock over a traffic dispute.
The 17-second clip, which showed her damaging the Toyota Camry while the owner filmed the attack from inside of the car, has been circulating on social media.
Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Ramli said the 34-year-old woman had wanted the parking lot along Jalan SS15/5A but the male driver parked his vehicle there on Wednesday.
“She ended up parking her Volvo in front of the Toyota and went about her business,” he said.
Two hours later, he said the Toyota owner started blaring his horn to signal he wanted to leave.
ACP Yahaya said the woman ignored it for awhile and when she finally came to move her car, the guy allegedly accelerated and hit her car.
“An argument ensued and the man allegedly hurled profanities at her and shoved her elderly father.”
ACP Yahaya said the woman called the police and Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) for help.
“But the man allegedly drove his car into hers several more times, causing damage to the right side passenger door.
“She then took out a steering lock and began hitting his car,” he said.
When police and the MPSJ arrived, they issued a summons to the man.
“The woman confessed to hitting the man’s car with the steering lock while the guy admitted that he drove his vehicle into hers,” ACP Yahaya said.
He said the case was being investigated under criminal intimidation and committing mischief.
