PETALING JAYA: It has never been harder to promote Malaysia than it is now, says Datuk Seri Nazir Razak.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the CIMB group chairman posted an old picture of him and his CIMB colleagues on his first investor roadshow to London in 1992 and commented on how things were more challenging now.
“I have been promoting Malaysia for a long time & it has never been tougher than now due to 1MDB and related issues,” he said.
Nazir, who is the youngest brother of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, added that he would be on stage with London School of Economics professor Danny Quah next Monday at the annual CIMB London Investor Conference “talking Asean politics and economics”.
Nazir has used social media on more than one occasion to voice his concerns and opinions on issues affecting the country.
In September, he took a swipe at the Himpunan Rakyat Bersatu rally saying that he would not be wearing red.
“On Sept 16, I will be celebrating diversity – racial, religious, cultural – that defines Malaysia. I won’t be wearing red,” Nazir had said in a post on Instagram.
