Preity Zinta wows fans at jewel store opening

SHAH ALAM: Bollywood actress Preity Zinta surprised fans with a special appearance at Taman Sri Muda on Sunday.
Launching the second Boby and Maradona Gold Diamond jewellery store, the star danced to Chori Chori Chupke Chupke in front of scores of screaming fans outside Mydin Mart in Section 25.
A brief downpour followed by the scorching sun did little to dampen the spirit of supporters, as Preity threw roses and footballs to the crowd.
The first Boby and Maradona showroom opened in Nu Sentral Mall, KL Sentral on May 30.
The Sri Muda outlet is the 38th store worldwide and the first collaboration with Mydin Mart.
Chemmanur International Jewellers founder and chairman Boby Chemmanur said he planned to open 25 more outlets in Malaysia.
"Mydin is a big brand in Malaysia. I think this is the right place for us to work because Mydin provides quality products at the lowest rate.
"Our gold prices are affordable for the average group and we offer a good variety," he said.
Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad director Datin Dr Siti Hawa Mohd said Mydin Mart will continue to work with the India-based company.
"We will be launching another outlet at Mydin Mart in Pudu Market Hall by the end of this year," she said.
