Car reposessor slashed, vehicle trashed during attempted recovery

SHAH ALAM: A car repossessor was slashed and his vehicle wrecked while he was recovering a car from its owner at Jalan Kristal, Seksyen 7 here.
During the incident Tuesday, the 32-year-old victim was with two others in his Proton Saga car near a bus stop to repossess a Perodua Viva at around 4pm.
However, he was attacked by the driver and a few others with a parang.
The group also beat the victim up, while his friends escaped upon seeing the commotion.
The man managed to escape and to a mosque in Seksyen 7, as the group continued to vandalise his Proton Saga.
A police spokesperson said that the victim suffered slash wounds on his head and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
He was reported to be in stable condition.
The police are now hunting for the owner of the Perodua Viva.
The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for causing hurt using a dangerous weapon, and Section 427 of the same code for causing mischief and damage to property
