PETALING JAYA:  Several officers from the Sg Buloh Royal Military Armed Forces brigade heroes were hailed as heroes for rescuing a dog stuck in a drain
According to a post on the Rakyat Sokong Angkatan Tentera Malaysia Facebook page the dog was found with its head stuck in a plastic container.
The page, which is dedicated to the military, congratulated those involved for saving the dog, as it could have died from starvation.
"The personnel from Sg Buloh Brigade 11 worked together irrespective of their race and religion to help rescue the dog and free it from the empty plastic container stuck to its head," said the page.
A comment on the three-day old post said the previously healthy dog now appeared frail, as it was unable to eat due to the plastic container stuck to its head.
Meanwhile, another pro-Armed Forces Facebook page, AirTimes also praised the rescuers.
“The grace of God gave hope to the dog and has led to the actions of the kind hearted souls who were involved in the rescue, in turn setting an example for the rest of us," said AirTimes.
The actions of the officers also received praise from netizens who thanked the officers for saving an innocent animal’s life.
"Although it is a dog, dogs are God's creations too. Congratulations ATM," said Jamal Halimah.
Herman Termizi Ahmad said, "May God bless them for their good deeds".
