5 INJURED AS EXPRESS BUS CRASHES INTO THE BACK OF A LORRY NEAR YONG PENG

5 injured in bus-lorry crash in Yong Peng

BATU PAHAT: Five people were injured when an express bus rammed into the back of a lorry at KM109 of the North-South Expressway near Yong Peng here early this morning.

Batu Pahat police chief Assistant Commissioner Din Ahmad said the injured, including the bus driver, suffered minor injuries.

"The bus was travelling from Klang to Johor Baru when the accident happened at 5am. There were 25 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident," said Din.

He said the police are still investigating the cause of the accident.

The accident caused both vehicles to end up in the ditch at the side of the highway.
