Body of suicide victim traps man in car for half hour

GEORGE TOWN: A man driving back home from work got the shock of his life when a man who leapt from a flat in a suicide attempt landed on his car’s roof, trapping him inside for 30 minutes.
The man was about to enter the flat's car park, located on Macallum Street Ghaut here.
The impact of the falling man crushed the roof of the Proton Waja, shattering all its windows and windscreens.
The driver was trapped in the car for at least 30 minutes before firemen managed to free him from his vehicle before he was rushed to the Penang Hospital during the 6pm incident Wednesday.
The man, who landed on the car, was identified as Liew Kam Ming, 49.
It was believed that Liew leapt to his death from the 19th floor of the flat.
Residents there said that they had never seen the deceased before
