For so long, Beach Club Café has been an iconic landmark on Jalan P Ramlee, and now the tourist-friendly clubbing hotspot has moved to a new location – 100 metres away from its old spot (it's still on Jalan P Ramlee). The Old Club Shut down last Saturday as a Bus was sent to pick up the last few Guests from the old to the New. After the last passeger got on the bus the lights were switched off for the last time, as the iconic structure is destined to be demolished.
It's now called Beach Club Cafe Mark 1.2
More sharks at new Beach
BEACH Club Cafe in Jalan P.Ramlee, Kuala Lumpur, has moved to its new premises — just 100 metres from its original location.
The favourite clubbing spot among many expatriates and iconic landmark in KL is housed in a new sprawling premises — complete with its two-tiered signature attap roof in a more vibrant atmosphere.
A media sneak preview was held recently where guests were shown the new Beach Club Cafe complete with a split-level clubbing interior and 20-feet high swaying coconut trees that create a relaxing ambience.
“We stay true to our core concept and hospitality as we want our regulars to feel at home and not lose sight of our reputed identity and trademark,” said Beach Club Cafe group executive director Judy Choong.
The new premises also comes with the iconic shark aquarium which is three times bigger and can accommodate up to six black tip sharks.
The various patios offer alfresco dining, bars, lounges and a VIP section that serves a variety of Carlsberg beer and a wide selection of Champagne and signature cocktails.

At the preview party, guests witnessed the launch gambit which consisted of lighting the tiki torch, symbolising continuity and survival by Choong and her associates director MH Tan, Beach Club Cafe director of architecture and design Kevin Anthony Flynn and Carlsberg Malaysia managing director Henrik Andersen.
