KUALA LUMPUR: Consultations on National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) loans and admission to public higher education institutions are among the services provided at the Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) booth during the Two Years of MADANI Government Programme (2TM) here.

MOHE public relations officer Dayang Norakma Shaharuddin said other services include consultations on the National Education Savings Scheme (Simpan SSPN), admission offers to polytechnics and community colleges and Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).

"We are also offering consultations on education sponsorships, including scholarships for students pursuing higher education and those for persons with disabilities (OKU).

"In addition, visitors facing issue redeeming Higher Education Student Book Vouchers, which expires on Dec 31, are welcome to seek clarification and assistance here," she told Bernama today.

Dayang Norakma said the ministry is also promoting the upcoming Putrajaya Idea Festival, a three-day event starting Nov 27 featuring a MADANI Career Carnival.

A visitor, Shazlina Ahmad, 32, said her primary purpose for attending the 2TM programme was to seek advice on PTPTN loan repayments and explore the sales activities happening at the event.

"I want to understand how to make structured repayments that suit my current financial situation. I also plan to inquire about SSPN to ensure a smooth education journey for my children in the future," she said.

Meanwhile, Mohd Danial Malik, 19, from Kampung Baru, said he visited the ministry's booth after exchanging his helmet to seek guidance on continuing his education.

He said the officers provided a clear explanation, which helped him better understand his options for pursuing studies at polytechnics or public universities based on his qualifications and interests.
