KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Football League (MFL) announced today that the Charity Shield match involving Selangor FC and Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) this Friday at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium had to be cancelled.
In a statement, MFL said, the cancellation follows Selangor FC's decision not to attend the match.
"The decision of Selangor FC was informed through an official letter sent to the MFL thus JDT will be given a ' walkover ' victory with a score of 3-0 and get three points for the Super League (LS1) match.
"Other matters also regarding the withdrawal will be brought to the level of the MFL Board of Directors for further action," he said.
