KUALA LUMPUR: A father of three, who went viral on social media as 'Hot Daddy' along with two of his female friends in relation to an immoral video, was charged again in the Magistrate's Court here on Monday, on one charge of selling pornographic videos, two months ago.
Two unemployed, namely, Hasli Ikhwan Arif Zul Hasli, 32, and Norhidayah Mahadi, 24, while the manager of a private company, Norshazrina Md Zamri, 27, pleaded not guilty to the charges read before the Magistrate, Nurul Izzah Shaharuddin.
According to the charges, they were charged together with selling obscene video recordings for the purpose of showing them publicly, at the D7 Criminal Investigation Office (Anti-Corruption, Gambling and Dark Sharing Division) Bukit Aman here, between 11.47 and 11.54pm, 15 January.
The charge is made under Section 292(a) of the Penal Code and read together with Section 34 of the same code, which carries a prison sentence of up to three years or a fine or both, if convicted.
The court allowed each accused to be bailed at RM4,000 with one surety and fixed April 22 for the case to be mentioned again.
Meanwhile, in the Sessions Court, Hasli Ikhwan and Norhidayah who wore black shirts, were charged with one charge of possession of obscene material contrary to public decency, at office D7 of the Wangsa Maju Police District Headquarters, here, at 4pm, 22 January then.
These two accused can be punished according to Section 5(1)(a) of the Film Censorship Act 2002 which carries a fine of between RM10,000 and RM50,00 or imprisonment not exceeding five years or both, if convicted.
The judge, Siti Aminah Ghazali allowed each accused to be bailed at RM5,000 with one surety and set the same date for the case to be mentioned again.
In the two cases, the prosecution was handled by Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurilya Ellyna Nor Azmal and Sheryn Yong Shi Yee while Hasli Ikhwan was represented by lawyer Mohammed Hissham Ramdzan while lawyer Nurul Aeir Muhammad Harvian Kamar represented the two women accused.
On January 26, Hasli Ikhwan and his two female friends, Norhidayah and the manager of a private company, Norshazrina Md Zamri, 27, were each charged with one charge of advertising prostitution services using the X application at the D7 Office (Anti-Improve, Gambling and Dark Sharing Division) ) Bukit Aman here, at 10.10 am, last January 16.
The charge is made in accordance with Section 372 (1) (e) of the Penal Code and read together under Section 34 of the same code which carries a prison sentence of up to 15 years and caning and a fine, if convicted.
Sinar Harian previously reported that a man was caught selling his sex videos with more than 20 women of various races through social media and was arrested in Janda Baik, Pahang.
The suspect was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Division D7, JSJ Bukit Aman at a house in Kampung Janda Baik, Bentong, Pahang, at 2.30pm, 17 January.
In the same raid, the police arrested his two girlfriends at the house where the man's father also lives.
