OTTAWA: An Air Canada passenger was injured after falling about six meters when he opened the plane's door recently.
An airline spokesperson told Business Insider , the incident took place on a Boeing 777 at Toronto's Pearson International Airport.
"The passenger entered the plane as usual but then opened the cabin door instead of going to his seat. The individual was injured as a result of falling," he said.
The incident occurred in less than a week involving the unusual behavior of passengers that delayed one of the airline's flights.
On January 3, an Air Canada flight had to be diverted after a 16-year-old passenger attacked a member of his family.
