Malaysia ended the 2023 Asian Cup challenge with a draw against South Korea, on Thursday.
In the last match of group E, Malaysia displayed extraordinary spirit when they managed to come back twice to draw 3-3 with the Asian giants.
Malaysia's goals were scored by Faisal Halim in the 51st minute while Arif Aiman completed the second goal through a penalty kick in the 62nd minute.
Malaysia's third goal came in extra time through Ramel Morales' goal.
South Korea got a goal through Jeong Woo-yeong in the 21st minute, before Lee Kang-in scored the second goal in the 83rd minute and Son Heung-min through a penalty kick also in extra time.
This draw means that Harimau Malaya returns with a valuable point in the Asian Cup competition, thus having the opportunity to improve their ranking.
Earlier, Malaysia lost 0-4 to Jordan, before losing to Bahrain through a single goal scored in injury time
