The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is investigating a viral video on social media since Sunday regarding the issue of payment of summons imposed on a foreign couple who are popular YouTubers

Director of the Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri said the PDRM will take strict action .

Azman in a statement on Sunday said that a detailed investigation is underway to investigate the allegations and that there will be no tolerance for the members and officers involved.

Previously, a video showing a married couple, who are youtube celebrities from the United Kingdom being stopped by a traffic police officer for speeding went viral and is now a hot topic among netizens. The Video was shared on YouTube via the account 'UK Van Lifers'

In the video, a man believed to be a traffic police officer told the couple that there were two options to pay the fine.

"Pay at the police station or pay here? If you pay at the station, RM300. Pay now, RM100," said the traffic police man

Due to the difference in the amount, the couple decided to pay RM100 at the location where they were stopped

However, the location and date of the incident has yet to be confirmed.

Following the video, the average netizen  believed this was a case of a corrupt  police officer pocketing the RM100
