A man with seven previous criminal records was shot dead in a shootout in front of Apartment Sri Acasia, Taman Puchong Prima, here on Sunday.
Selangor Police Chief, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said, in addition to seven criminal records, the review also found that the man had six narcotics criminal records and one wanted record.
According to him, in the incident at about 3.30 pm, the police came across a suspicious looking car.
"When the police tried to approach the vehicle, the suspect fired and caused the police to return fire," he said when contacted by Astro AWANI here, on Sunday.\
In the meantime, Hussein said, the police are also conducting further investigations to identify the suspect's friends who are involved in crime.
In the meantime, he also asked the public to stop spreading or sharing videos related to the incident on social media because it could cause annoyance to the community.
He also asked the public who have any information regarding the incident to contact the Subang Jaya District Police Headquarters (IPD) at 03-78627222 or any nearby police station immediately.
