KUALA LUMPUR: Two homegrown beauties, Cassandra Yap and Ashlyn Ooi, were announced as Miss International Malaysia (MIM) 2024 in an event that took place recently.

In order to meet the selection criteria, the organizers continue to emphasize beauty as well as intelligence, talent and elegance embodied by Malaysian women.

The organizers of Miss International Malaysia believe that every contestant is the queen of Miss International Malaysia because they have shown their dedication towards achieving their respective dreams.

Organized by Persatuan Pentas Anak Seni Malaysia (PPASM) and presented by SunStrong Entertainment, MIM also celebrates the country's cultural diversity and unwavering commitment to sustainability.

At the same time, MIM emphasizes Malaysia's core values, ideals and aspirations on the global stage.

According to the President and National Director of PPASM and MIM, each MIM participant comes from various backgrounds and expresses Malaysia's heart and unique essence and serves as a voice for various traditions, communities and beliefs.

He said, the organization of MIM is not only to touch lives but to change them deeply.

This beauty pageant, he explained, serves as proof of Malaysia's progress, openness and dedication to a meaningful cause that resonates deeply locally and globally.

"Give your support, share your story and join us in our mission to make Miss International Malaysia more effective.

"Whether you are a potential participant, sponsor or supporter, we look forward to your participation in shaping the narrative of the beauty, strength and importance of Malaysian culture," said MIM Chairman Jenny Ngu.
