Public Rescues Women After Her Car Got Stuck In Floods 1.3metres Deep




KLANG: A woman faced an anxious moment after the vehicle she was driving got caught in a flash flood at Klang Central, Jalan Meru, Meru Industrial Park, here on Sunday.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department's Assistant Director of Operations, Mohamadul Ehsan Mohd Zain, said his department received an emergency call regarding the incident at 5.44am.

The 5.44am incident occurred when the woman was passing through a flooded road and her vehicle got stuck due to heavy rain at the time.

"A team of firefighters and rescuers led by Operations Commander Senior Fire Officer (PBK) II Rafizi Taib together with machinery from the Sungai Pinang Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) rushed to the scene of the incident," he said in a statement on Sunday.


According to him, it was reported that there was an overflow of water from a drain at the location at a depth of about 1.3 meters.

"A 57-year-old woman driving a Perodua Aruz type car was stuck in the water 

"However, the female driver managed to get out of the vehicle with the help of the public before the fire department arrived at the location.

"The victim was reported not to have suffered any injuries while the overflowing water in the area has receded," he said.
