JOHOR BAHRU: The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, today said the government needs to expedite the review of the strict conditions of the Malaysia My Second Home Program (MM2H) set recently.
He raised the matter when receiving before the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob at Istana Pasir Pelangi, here, today.
Sultan Ibrahim said this was because Johor was one of the main destinations for foreign investment, apart from being one of the main contributors to the country's economic growth.
“Johor is not only a neighbor of Singapore, but the MM2H Program is one of the contributors to the state's economic strength.
"Review the strict conditions set before and maintain the old conditions by making some improvements so that it can provide a positive balance, especially economic growth," he said.
At the meeting, Sultan Ibrahim also discussed various other matters related to the progress of Johor
The meeting was also attended by the Menteri Besar of Johor, Datuk Hasni Mohammad.
