The statement that 40 BN MPs are supporting the PN Government is true

BERA: A statement issued on July 29 stating that 40 Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs unanimously supported PN Government led by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is valid.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the matter was reached after he chaired a meeting with 40 BN MPs on the day.
“The news is real, indeed 40 BN MPs gave their support to the PN government.
“The only question raised that day was why we among the BN MPs used BN letterheads.
"We are of the view, we are BN MPs, we do not want to use Pas letterheads, we must use BN letterheads because we are MPs who represent BN," he told reporters after the food basket presentation program in Kampung Charuk Puting here today.
Last Thursday, the BN Headquarters denied the existence of a letter that used the logo and address went viral on that day.
BN Executive Secretary, Mohamad Shafri Ab. Aziz informed that any statement is only issued through the party chairman or secretary general.
Earlier, there was a statement using the BN logo which allegedly quoted Ismail Sabri's statement.
The statement informed that all BN MPs unanimously supported the Muhyiddin -led government.
According to the statement, the decision was the result of a meeting chaired by Ismal Sabri with a total of 40 BN MPs on Thursday Night
Commenting further, Ismail said, in the meeting of the Supreme Working Council (MKT) of the party also allowed MPs to use their own discretion to determine their support.
