KUALA LUMPUR: Coordinating Minister for the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar said as many as 1 million individuals have registered as vaccine recipients.
Registration has been coming in for the COVID-19 vaccine ever since the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program officially opened three days ago via the MySejahtera application on 24 February.
In a tweet on his Twitter account early Friday morning, Khairy said more frontline staff would receive the vaccine.
"It is safe, it is effective. Let's end this pandemic.
"Get the vaccine. Register today," he said.
Therefore, he also called on the public to jointly end the epidemic by registering for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Registration via the MySejahtera Application is among the five online or manual registration methods provided by the government for the public to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Apart from the MySejahtera application, another online method is through the special website www.vaksincovid.gov.my.
Meanwhile for manual registration, the public can register by calling the hotline or attending the facilities of public and private health clinics or through assistance programs for residents in rural and rural areas.
