MPs from various parties gather at Sheraton PJ after leaving Palace

PETALING JAYA: A total of 131 MPs have gathered at Sheraton PJ for a major dinner following an audience for several party leaders with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
The dinner follows an eventful day with talk of a possible new governing coalition for the country.
Here is the timeline of the events:
9:45pm: Umno sec-gen Tan Sri Annuar Musa says he is not the one who decides on the formation of a new government coalition, but Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will be. Many other lawmakers are also leaving the hotel, including MCA's Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, Umno's Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia's Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. All declined to elaborate on the matter.
9.36pm: Several lawmakers including Umno's Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Khairy Jamaluddin, Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan from PAS and MIC's Tan Sri S. A. Vigneswaran have started leaving Sheraton PJ. When asked on speculation of the possible formulation of a new government coalition, Takiyuddin said "rumours remain rumours".
10.12pm: Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh says, "PKR is okay, the ones who are not okay are those with other objectives", as she enters Anwar's residence. Deputy Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister and Balik Pulau MP Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik arrives soon after but does not give any comments.
10.10pm: PKR's Wangsa Maju MP Tan Yee Kew (pic) seen entering Anwar's residence. It may be the prelude to a meeting that was said be taking place tonight between Anwar and PKR MPs aligned to him.

9.35pm: Dinner ends and MPs seen starting to leave Sheraton PJ. PAS MPs, including deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, are among the first to leave.
9.34pm: Shouts of "Reformasi!", "PM Lapan (the eighth Prime Minister)" and "Lawan Tetap Lawan (We must continue the fight)" suddenly erupt from within the compound of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's house.
9.28pm: Aide confirms PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Monday (Feb 24) but says it was planned in advance and nothing to do with the events of today.
9.20pm: Bersatu leaders Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Datuk Marzuki Yahya and Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof arrive at Sheraton PJ. Armada chief Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman has also arrived.
9.00pm: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is delivering a religious talk (tazkirah) to supporters in his Bukit Segambut house. Earlier, Penang Mufti Datuk Seri Dr Wan Salim delivered the sermon at the religious ceremony (majlis zikir) there.
8:38pm: Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin arrived at Sheraton PJ. Earlier, PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali arrived at the hotel.
A group of men clad in red shirts, some with Bersatu logos, made their way to the entrance of the hotel, with chants of "Hidup Tun!"8.15pm: Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi arrives at Sheraton PJ. Pontian MP Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan has also been spotted in the crowd.
8.10pm: PKR supporters gather for prayers at the residence of party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Bukit Segambut, amid talk of a new political landscape. Supporters, both Muslims and non-Muslims, started gathering at Anwar's house as early as 5pm for the religious event (majlis zikir) advertised on the PKR Facebook page. Earlier in the evening, PKR MPs Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Datuk Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid, Fahmi Fadzil and Wong Chen were seen at the premises. Members of the press were informed at 6.40pm that Anwar would not be addressing the media.
8.05pm: A palace guard confirm that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has left the palace following the earlier meeting.
8.02pm: An exclusive picture of the backdrop for the dinner shows that it is in celebration of a consensus by MPs.
8:01pm: MCA secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon and MCA Youth Chief Nicole Wong were seen at the Sheraton PJ.
7:40pm: MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and Tanjung Piai MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng have arrived at Sheraton PJ. PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man and Pasir Puteh MP Datuk Dr Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh have also arrived.
7.31pm: All quiet in Putrajaya despite talk of new government coalition. The country's administrative capital is typically deserted on a Sunday. At tourist areas such as Dataran Putra and the Putra Mosque, many are seen hanging out with the family members as they pose for photos at some of the most picturesque areas in the city.
7.30pm: VIP vehicles seen leaving Istana Negara.
7.10pm: Umno secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa (left) confirms supreme council has given party president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi the mandate to make any decision in the best interests of the country.
7.07pm: Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezane Mohd Faisal confirms police on standby at Sheraton PJ.
7.05pm: Several Umno lawmakers including vice-president Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Federal Territories minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor arrive at Sheraton Petaling Jaya but do not take questions from the media on the possible formation of new government coalition.
6.56pm: Five party presidents and one deputy president have been granted an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah. Bersatu's Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, and PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang are said to be at Istana Negara with Parti Warisan Sabah president and Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal, PBB president and Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
6.50pm: More members of the media arrive at the Gate 1 entrance of the National Palace following talk of the formation of a new government coalition. A light shower that came at 6.15pm was no dampener to the crowd as they sought shelter in front of the concrete arch next to the guard post.
6:46pm: PKR lawmakers, aligned to Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia party members are trickling into the Sheraton Hotel in Petaling Jaya. Police personnel can be seen stationed in the vicinity of the hotel.
6:45pm: Media camping out at PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's residence at Bukit Segambut. A religious event (majlis zikir) is currently going on and expected to end after 9pm. Earlier in the evening, PKR MPs Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Datuk Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid, Fahmi Fadzil, Wong Chen were among those sighted at the premises.
6.15pm: Four more VIP cars including an escort vehicle entered the palace. Three of the VIP vehicles were fitted with Sarawak registered number plates.
5.40pm: About 20 vehicles consisting of luxurious sedans and MPVs appeared at the palace precinct as members of the media gathered near Gate 1 and Gate 3.
4pm: Umno held a supreme council meeting at PWTC.
2.51pm: Bersatu meeting over, Dr Mahathir left for his house in Mines where leaders from Gabungan Parti Sarawak, Parti Warisan Sabah and Umno gathered.
2pm: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal left for Kuala Lumpur
12.30pm: Sarawak Chief Minister Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Abang Openg left for Kuala Lumpur
10am: Sheraton Petaling Jaya: "Private event" meeting attended by ministers and MPs loyal to Datuk Seri Azmin Ali's faction in PKR
9am: Yayasan Selangor: Bersatu meeting started
