From March 15, Grab will stop offering reward points to customers using cash.
On its GrabRewards page, it said it's updating its policy in support of the government’s effort to encourage the adoption of cashless payments through the e-Tunai Rakyat initiative.
However, not all Grab services allow cash payments – for instance, GrabFood delivery must be paid using credit/debit card or its e-wallet.
To encourage users to adopt cashless payments, the service is also extending its GrabPay Year End Bonus Points programme where users get 3x points for each transaction.
This promo, which will now go on until March 15, is only applicable to customers not using cash.
