Britain's Got Talent has announced its winner of 2019.

Singer Colin Thackery was the act that became successful, taking home £250,000 and will be performing at the Royal Variety Performance later this year.

Colin beat magicians X and Ben Hart into second and third places.

Speaking of his win, he said: "It's incredible. I don't know what to say. I'm stuck for words for a change. Thank you very much, all of you for all the backing I've had."

The show featured a number of magic acts tonight, including the mysterious X who finally revealed their identity.

Marc Spelmann took off his mask following a magic act that involved the whole live audience to reveal that he had returned.

Marc was previously Ant and Dec's Golden Buzzer act, but failed to make it through to the finale so came back as an anonymous act to achieve his dream.

The show's viewers also noticed former X Factor judge Cheryl in the audience.

She looked shocked as danger stunt act Jonathan Goodwin was chained up and put in a box before burying himself under a tonne of gravel.

Despite some worried looks from the security team, he managed to free himself in the nick of time.

Former BGT winners Diversity returned to perform, a whopping 10 years after their win.

Their runner up Susan Boyle also came back and performed a duet with Michael Ball, and said how "surreal" it was to be back on the stage.

Ant and Dec added that Susan was set to return later in the year for the special show, Britian's Got Talent: The Champions where former contestants would be competing once again.

Where you surprised when singing Chelsea Pensioner Colin Thackery was crowned the winner of Britain's Got Talent 2019?

Looking at the voting percentages for the five semi-finals, he had certainly put in a good show earning 29.1 per cent of Wednesday's live contest.

But that wasn't the most convincing win during the semis as Dave & Finn the police dog earned 29.2 per cent of the first semi-final on Monday.

While young magicians 4MG scooped 28.2 per cent to win Tuesday's semi, magician Ben Hart 28.2 per cent on Thursday and magician X got 27.4 per cent to win on Friday.

The final on Sunday saw Colin Thackery get 25.3 per cent, X on 17.8 per cent and Ben Hart on 10.2 per cent.

Surprisingly, 4MG slumped to bottom of the poll with just 2.3 per cent in the final.
