KUALA TERENGGANU: A civil servant could be jailed up to 10 years all for stealing eggs from a supermarket here.

However, Eddy Ezry Nordin pleaded not guilty to the charge under Section 380 of the Penal Code for theft in a dwelling.


He did so at the Kuala Terengganu Magistrate court before judge Noradila A. Latif.

The accused is believed to have been caught by a security guard, who noticed him behaving suspiciously at the supermarket on Sept 26.




Noradila allowed the accused to be released on RM4,000 bail with one surety.

The case is set for mention on Oct 13.
