Back Safely In Mummy's Arms, Baby Freddie Found Unharmed At Lake Titiwangsa
A 20-month-old son of a British expatriate, who was abducted in broad daylight in affluent Bangsar on Friday evening by a machete-wielding couple who drove off with the toddler in a white Toyota Camry, has been found.

- Police have been stationed across the road along Jalan Terasek 7 where a 20-month-old Freddie was snatched from his expatriate mother here Friday to protect a piece of evidence (a black button), which is to be collected by forensics personnel soon.
- The expatriate family of the kidnapped Freddie are expected to make a statement to the public on Saturday afternoon. A family friend, said the mother of the child, Sarah Joseph, 39 was calm but traumatised by the ordeal.
- "We are all holding up but you can just imagine the difficult time we are going through right now. "There have been no updates as of yet," he said Saturday. All throughout the morning, neighbours and friends have visited the house along Jalan Terasek 7 to provide support and comfort to the family.

- A two-year-old British boy named Freddie was allegedly kidnapped today from his home in the Bangsar suburb here by a machete-wielding Asian man who made off with a female accomplice in a white Toyota Camry at about 6pm.
- The mother Sarah Joseph, a language teacher, was alone with the baby, having dinner on the porch at about 6.20pm Friday when the couple came into the double-storey link house in Jalan Terasek and grabbed the baby, named Freddie, from his chair.
- The mother, Sarah Joseph, sustained injuries to her arms from a machete when she tried to prevent the kidnapper from getting away with the child, said a friend of the mother.
- Joseph was seen running out of the house and clinging onto the car and being dragged for a few metres before falling. Police rushed to the house and spent over two hours dusting for fingerprints and looking for leads into the case.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Ku Chin Wah said police have classified the case as kidnapping until further investigations showed otherwise
- The man and woman who snatched a British toddler from his home in the affluent Bangsar earlier this evening likely knew his family well, city police said.
- However, Datuk Ku Chin Wah, head of the City Criminal Investigation Department (CID), admitted that the police were stumped as to the possible motive. “Until now, we don’t know their motives,” Ku told reporters at the Pantai police station here in a late night new conference.
- “We suspect that they know the family,” he said, before adding, ”The mother did not recognise the man.”
- No ransom demand has been made following the kidnapping of a 20-month-old British baby from his home in Jalan Terasek 7 in Bangsar on Friday evening.
The kidnapper was described as standing about 5-feet-6-inches tall with Chinese or Burmese features
- His female accomplice was reportedly an Asian with long black hair. The duo reportedly made their getaway in a white Toyota Camry, which bore the car registration plate number BKP 4386.
