WASHINGTON: United States (US) President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday announced his campaign manager, Susie Wiles will serve as White House Chief of Staff, Anadolu Agency reported.
"Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the biggest political victories in American history and was an integral part of the success of my 2016 and 2020 campaigns," Trump said in a statement.
He described Wiles as a person who was "resolute, intelligent, innovative and respected and admired by all parties."
"It is a well-deserved honor to have Susie as the first female Chief of Staff in the history of the United States. I have no doubt that she will brighten the name of our country," Trump added.
The Chief of Staff selection is the first administration position announced by Trump since he declared victory in the presidential election early Wednesday morning.
