WASHINGTON: United States (US) President-elect Donald Trump named John Ratcliffe, former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) as the new director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) on Tuesday, according to Anadolu Agency.
"I look forward to John becoming the first individual to ever serve in both of our Nation's highest Intelligence posts. He will be a courageous fighter for the Constitutional Rights of all Americans, while ensuring the Highest Levels of National Security and PEACE THROUGH FORCE," Trump said in a statement. .
"From exposing fake Russian collusion as a Clinton campaign operation to arresting FBI civil liberties abuses in the FISA Court, John Ratcliffe has always been a warrior for the truth," he added.
