Tun Mahathir, Abdul Hadi among thousands who gathered near the US Embassy on Saturday

 Thousands flooded the area near the United States Embassy building in the capital to participate in the 100K Rally in Defense of Palestine on Saturday evening.

Their presence is a sign of unwavering support for Palestine and a protest against America's continued support for the Zionist regime.

Former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Pas President, Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang were among those present at the gathering.

Also present were PAS Deputy President, Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, PAS Vice President, Datuk Idris Ahmad and PAS Secretary General, Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.

In addition, several MPs from Perikatan Nasional were also seen present, including Arau Member of Parliament, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, Jerantut Member of Parliament, Khairil Nizam Khirudin and Pasir Mas Member of Parliament, Ahmad Fadhli Shaari.

Palestinian Solidarity Secretariat (SSP) spokesperson Tian Chua and activist Hishamuddin Rais were also seen among those present.

Rally participants were seen starting to gather outside the American Embassy building starting at 2.30pm.

Before that, they all gathered in three locations, namely the Selangor Foundation Building in Bukit Bintang, the KLCC Mosque and the Ibnu Mas'ud Mosque in Kampung Datuk Keramat, Kuala Lumpur.

They then marched to a location near the American Embassy building before they all gathered together with some leaders who were already there.

Several leaders, among them Dr Mahathir and Abdul Hadi then spoke in front of all the participants with the essence of the speech revolving around support for Palestine and criticism of America.

The 100K Defense of Palestine Gathering - Solidarity 'Raya Bersama Gaza' in front of the US embassy was organized by PAS and several non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

The gathering was held as a sign of support and solidarity for the holy struggle of the Palestinian people and condemnation of the Zionist regime that continues to kill the Palestinian people.
