JOHOR BAHRU: Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain spent time visiting the policeman who was the victim of an attack at the Ulu Tiram police station, near here on Friday.
Razarudin visited to see for himself the condition of the victims who are currently receiving treatment at Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI).
During the visit, Razarudin was accompanied by Johor Police Chief, Commissioner M Kumar.
Also present were Deputy Chief of Johor Police, Deputy Commissioner Afandi Senin; The Head of the Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) of the Johor Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK), Senior Assistant Commissioner Hoo Chuan Huat and Seri Alam District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Sohaimi Ishak.
Mohd Hasif is now reported to be in a stable condition.
The policeman survived an attack by a masked individual believed to be a member of Jemaah Islamiah (JI).
The victim, however, suffered serious injuries, while two other fellow officers were killed by the suspect who was armed with a machete.
In the attack at 2.54 am, two policemen were reportedly killed and the suspect was shot dead at the scene.
