Anwar chairs the Unity Government Leadership Consultative Council Meeting

Anwar chaired the first Unity Government Leadership Consultative Council Meeting for this year at Seri Perdana, Putrajaya.
SHAH ALAM: Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim chaired the first Unity Government Leadership Consultative Council Meeting for this year at Seri Perdana, Putrajaya.
Apart from Anwar, some of the main leaders of the Unity Government were also seen attending the meeting, namely Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi; Chief Whip of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof and DAP Secretary General, Anthony Loke Siew Fook.
The meeting was also attended by the President of Warisan, Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal and the Premier of Sarawak, Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Anwar chaired the first Unity Government Leadership Consultative Council Meeting for this year at Seri Perdana, Putrajaya.
The meeting involved discussions on the appointment of the new Speaker of the Dewan Negara as well as the selection of candidates for the position.
Before this, Anwar was reported to have said that the name of the candidate for TYT of Sarawak that had been presented to him by Abang Johari had been presented to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah
