KUALA LUMPUR: Safawi Rasid's third goal for Malaysia against the Solomon Islands caught the attention of the world football community.

This is after the well-known website for international soccer, B/R Football complimented the Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) player goal and tweeted about the latest goal via its Twitter account.

Following its Twitter account, B/R Football posted a video clip while tweeting "adds Malaysian player, Safawi Rasid to Puskas list."

Prior to this, Penang sensation striker Mohd Faiz Subri traced the history of national and Asian football after being crowned the winner of the 2016 International Football Association (FIFA) Puskas Award.

The magical net stemming from a 'banana kick' deviating free kick which was labeled 'against the laws of physics' allowed the 30-year-old striker to win the best net award at the FIFA Awards Night in Zurich, Switzerland.

The award was delivered by the legend of Brazilian football, Ronaldo at the same time witnessed this victory putting Mohd Faiz in line with famous players who had won the award such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Neymar and James Rodriguez.
