ALOR SETAR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today arrested two men, the company's director and owner, on suspicion of making false claims amounting to approximately RM20.3 million in relation to the payment incentive of the Dairy Cattle Farming Project.
According to sources, the 51-year-old director was arrested at the Kedah MACC office at 1pm, while the company owner was arrested at the Rehat dan Rawat (RnR) area of Simpang Renggam, Johor at 3pm.
"The arrest follows information that in 2015, several companies conspired to submit false claims related to payment incentives for the Dairy Cattle Farming Project under the Dairy Cluster Entry Point Project 13 (EPP 13) of the Economic Transformation Program (ETP) worth RM20.3 million to Department of Veterinary Services while no supply was made," he said.
Meanwhile, Kedah MACC Director, Datuk Shaharom Nizam Abd Manap, confirmed the arrest and informed that the case is being investigated in accordance with Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.
