GRS declared war on Sabah BN - Bung Moktar]
Kota Kinabalu: GRS violated the cooperation agreement in the 15th General Election (GE-15) with the Sabah National Front (BN), said Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.
The Sabah BN chairman claimed that GRS chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor together with the party's six members of Parliament gave their support to Perikatan Nasional (PN) Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the 10th Prime Minister.
"Hajiji did not contact me or talk to me about GRS support to the (National) Alliance.
"We had an agreement that GRS would support Barisan (National), Hajiji broke the agreement by giving support to PN. They (GRS) declared war on us," said Bung Moktar quoted by The Star.
Before the nomination of candidates in GE-15, the alliance between GRS and Sabah BN agreed that GRS would contest in 13 seats while BN in 12 seats.
Following that, GRS won six and BN seven seats.
While the formation of the government is still pending, Hajiji together with the President of KDM Datuk Peter Anthony and KDM Member of Parliament Datuk Wetrom Bahanda and Kudat Independent Member of Parliament Datuk Verdon Bahanda and Tenom Member of Parliament Riduan Rubin met Muhyiddin last night.
Bung Moktar said that photos of their meeting were spread on social media, showing that GRS violated the agreement and was likely to affect their relationship at the state government level.
