TM records a revenue of RM8.38 billion in the first 9 months of 2021
Kuala Lumpur: Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) recorded strong financial results for the first ninevmonths of 2021 with revenue growth increasing 6.8 per cent to RM8.38 billion, from RM7.84 billion in the same period last year.
This achievement was driven by increased revenue from all product categories, particularly Internet services which saw a 6.8 per cent increase following steady growth in the number of fixed broadband subscribers.
Revenue Before Interest and Tax increased 17.1 per cent to RM1.4 billion from RM1.2 billion due to continued revenue growth and cost optimization initiatives.
Profit After Tax and Non -Controlling Interest (PATAMI) increased 7.7 per cent to RM815.3 million from RM756.7 million, following good operating profit.

TM Group Chief Executive Officer, Imri Mokhtar said, throughout 2021, TM has focused its efforts on bringing digital connectivity and solutions in support of the nation's sustainability and recovery.
"As a result, we were able to post another quarter of the year with yield and net profit growth
Our next focus is to provide an enhanced customer experience and strengthen our digital offerings across all customer segments at unifi, TM One and TM Wholesale, "he said in a statement today.
According to him, with movement control in Malaysia continuing to be relaxed and the economy starting to gain momentum, his party remains committed to serving the country.
“We will continue to play our role in leading digitalisation in Malaysia as outlined by the National Digital Network (Jendela) action plan, Budget 2022 and the 12th Malaysia Plan, including the MyDigital blueprint.
“As we continue the transition towards becoming a human -centric technology company, we will develop innovative solutions and drive digital adoption across our customer segments spanning residential, small and medium enterprise (SME), corporate and government customers - centered on an enhanced customer experience.
“This evolution will be supported by a new way we work at TM - a focus on improvement productivity through digitization and process automation, enhancing workforce skills and welcoming new digital talent, ”he said.
Driving digital adoption and new ways of working in the post-pandemic era TM recorded the highest increase in the number of unifi customers for three consecutive quarters.
For the quarter under review, TM recorded an additional 210,000 new unifi customers in the consumer segment especially micro, small and simple enterprises (PMKS) users
This highest growth was driven by demand for connectivity and digitization tools which is now an essential necessity.
"To meet this demand, TM has added a higher number of broadband ports and a wider fiber network coverage.
"This expansion has exceeded TM's commitment target in Jendela. The rapid implementation of the network coupled with precise front -line support, continuous marketing drive and fast installation has successfully strengthened customer confidence and trust," he said.
