THERE’S A 1963 FILM CALLED ‘OMICRON’
In 1963, a sci-fi movie called Omicron was released that’s going viral in the wake of the Omicron variant.
The Italian film follows the story of a dead factory worker who comes back to life after his body is taken over by an invisible alien.
Written and produced by Ufo Gregoretti, the alien takes over his body to learn about the planet so his race can take it over.
It was nominated for one award at the Venice Film Festival before being forgotten…
IT"S TRENDING THANKS TO THE OMICRON VARIANT
Omicron has suddenly flooded social media this week after internet users began likening the movie to the new Omicron Covid variant.
The film has absolutely nothing to do with viruses or pandemics though, and the only reason it’s trending is because it has the same name.
It’s satiric in nature and doesn’t really have any chilling themes that can be likened to the variant.
Nonetheless, it’s still become a hot topic of conversation on Twitter as people fear the new variant.
