KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 20 -- Republic of Singapore Air Force jets which were spotted flying low over the airspace in Pasir Gudang, Johor earlier this month were part of the assets involved in the Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA) military exercise, according to the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF).

Chief of Defence Force Gen Tan Sri Affendi Buang said the Exercise Bersama Gold 2021 was held from Oct 8 to 18, and jets would also be involved in the flypast in conjunction with the 50th anniversary celebration of FPDA tomorrow.

He said that throughout the exercise period, aircraft of FPDA members Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom were based in Singapore while Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) jets were operating from Malaysia.
