Kuala Lumpur: Police have opened an investigation paper after detecting the spread of video clips and pornographic messages allegedly involving a well -known Ustaz
Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan said the investigation was conducted in accordance with Section 504 of the Penal Code (KK)
According to him, the investigation was also conducted in accordance with Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 due to improper use of network facilities or services.
"Police are advising the public to be smart, prudent social media users and not to abuse the platform to create public intimidation.
"Strict action will also be taken against individuals who deliberately threaten public order," he said in a media statement, today.
He said the public who have information on this case are asked to contact the Head of the Classified Criminal Investigation Unit, Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department Superintendent Junainah M Kasbolah or the Case Investigating Officer, Inspector Mohd Khabir Mohd Afandi at 03-22666071.
