Mansor Othman positive for COVID-19

KUALA LUMPUR: Nibong Tebal Member of Parliament, Datuk Mansor Othman, confirmed that he is infected with COVID-19 and is currently undergoing quarantine at a hospital, here.
Mansor, who is also the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, informed that he did not suffer from any complications and symptoms due to the virus.
"I am still under monitoring. Alhamdulillah, there are no complications and symptoms. I have been admitted to the ward at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital (HUKM) for three days.
"The doctor informed me that I can undergo quarantine at home if I want," he said
Apart from Mansor, UMNO President who is also Bagan Datuk Member of Parliament, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, was also confirmed positive for COVID-19 and is currently undergoing self-quarantine.
Last Friday, all MPs were required to undergo the COVID-19 screening test as a security measure to attend the Special Session of Parliament, tomorrow.
Earlier, it was reported that at least three MPs tested positive for COVID-19 infection after undergoing a smear test yesterday, while four other MPs were said to be in close contact and some staff were also detected to be infected with the virus.
