BUTTERWORTH: A 65-year-old retired gardener has pleaded guilty to commiting incest with his 17-year-old stepdaughter at a house in Tasek Gelugor near here.
The accused admitted to the charge of committing the offence in a house in Taman Desa Ara, Tasek Gelugor, at about 11am on June 10.
If convicted, the offence under Section 376B(1) of the Penal Code for incest, carries between 10 to 30 years' jail and whipping.
However, no verdict was delivered at the Sessions Court, pending the victim's medical report.
Sessions Court Judge Noor Aini Yusof denied bail for the accused and set Aug 11 for mention of the case.
DPP Roslina Idris prosecuted the case.
