KINA KINABALU : Sabah police are investigating the actions of a police officer who caned five young men for allegedly defying a Movement Control Order (PKP) in Kunak district on Wednesday.

Sabah Deputy Commissioner of Police Datuk Mazli Mazlan said he received information on the incident and confirmed that no reports had been made so far.

However, police will conduct an internal investigation of the officer.

"According to preliminary information, the officer is believed to have directed a group of teenagers from the surrounding village to disperse.

"However, after the officer returned after patrolling in a separate location, it was found that the teenagers were still in the same area and were again issued orders to disperse.

" However, the group refused to listen and even laughed,

Earlier, a 26-minute video related to the incident had surfaced on social media since this evening.

In the video, a police officer allegedly raped five teenagers using a wooden stick after being believed to be stubborn and refusing to obey the order of the dispersed authorities at the scene.

The incident is understood to have taken place in Kampung Panji, Kunak based on the signage contained in the video.

In the meantime, Mazli revealed, all five teenagers involved in the video were allowed to return home.
