Kenyataan Akhbar KPK 25 April 2020 – Situasi Semasa Jangkitan Penyakit Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) di Malaysia
STATUS TERKINI KES DISAHKAN COVID-19 YANG TELAH PULIH
Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) ingin memaklumkan bahawa terdapat 99 kes yang telah pulih dan dibenarkan discaj pada hari ini. Ini menjadikan jumlah kumulatif kes yang telah pulih sepenuhnya dari COVID-19 dan telah discaj daripada wad adalah sebanyak 3,762 kes (65.5 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes). Justeru, bilangan kes yang didiscaj hari ini adalah hampir dua kali ganda bilangan kes yang dilaporkan.
STATUS TERKINI KES COVID-19 DI MALAYSIA
Sehingga 25 April 2020 pukul 12:00 tengah hari, terdapat 51 kes baharu yang telah dilaporkan. Ini menjadikan jumlah kes positif COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 5,742 kes. Oleh itu, jumlah kes aktif dengan kebolehjangkitan COVID-19 adalah 1,882 kes. Mereka telah diasingkan dan diberi rawatan.
Sehingga kini, seramai 36 kes positif COVID-19 sedang dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU). Daripada jumlah tersebut, 16 kes memerlukan bantuan pernafasan.
Daripada maklumat terkini yang dilaporkan ke Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) Kebangsaan, dukacita dimaklumkan bahawa terdapat pertambahan dua (2) lagi kes kematian berkaitan COVID-19. Justeru, jumlah kumulatif kes kematian COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 98 kes (1.71 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes):
- Kes kematian ke-97 (kes ke-2354) merupakan lelaki warganegara Malaysia berumur 62 tahun dan mempunyai latar belakang penyakit jantung. Beliau telah dirawat di Hospital Sungai Buloh, Selangor pada 28 Mac 2020 dan disahkan meninggal dunia pada 25 April 2020 jam 3.53 pagi.
- Kes kematian ke-98 (kes ke-2806) merupakan perempuan warganegara Malaysia berumur 62 tahun dan mempunyai latar belakang penyakit darah tinggi. Beliau mempunyai sejarah kontak rapat dengan kes positif COVID-19 iaitu kes ke-1346 (yang merupakan anak beliau). Beliau telah dirawat di Hospital Kuala Lumpur pada 22 Mac 2020 dan disahkan meninggal dunia pada 24 April 2020 jam 5.43 petang.
KKM mengucapkan takziah kepada ahli keluarga mereka.
STATUS TERKINI KLUSTER PERSON UNDER INVESTIGATION (PUI) BALI DI KUANTAN
KKM ingin memaklumkan status terkini Kluster PUI Bali di sebuah pusat perubatan di Kuantan yang telah melibatkan golongan pesakit dan anggota kesihatan.
Kes indeks (iaitu kes ke-4684) bagi kluster ini mempunyai sejarah perjalanan ke Bali, Indonesia. Kes indeks tersebut mempunyai kontak rapat dengan kes ke-1575 (iaitu abang kepada kes indeks) yang telah dimasukkan ke wad Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) pusat perubatan tersebut pada 19 Mac 2020 dengan gejala demam dan jangkitan saluran pernafasan.
Sehingga kini terdapat sebanyak 43 kes disahkan positif COVID-19 di dalam kluster ini, iaitu:
- 30 orang sedang dirawat di wad Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan (HTAA), Pahang;
- sembilan (9) orang telah sembuh;
- seorang sedang dirawat di unit rawatan rapi;
- 3 orang telah meninggal dunia (iaitu kes ke-1575, kes ke-5064 dan kes ke-4129).
Sebanyak 2,301 ujian saringan COVID-19 telah dijalankan, melibatkan anggota kesihatan dan pesakit dari pusat perubatan tersebut. Daripada 43 kes yang disahkan positif di dalam kluster ini, sebanyak sepuluh (10) orang adalah anggota kesihatan pusat perubatan. Langkah-langkah kawalan penularan jangkitan COVID-19 sedang giat dijalankan dengan kerjasama rapat KKM, termasuk proses dekontaminasi dan pemindahan pesakit ke hospital-hospital KKM yang berdekatan. Ini adalah untuk memastikan pusat perubatan tersebut selamat dan diyakini bebas daripada jangkitan COVID-19.
KKM ingin mengingatkan semua anggota kesihatan Kerajaan dan swasta tentang kepentingan untuk menggunakan alat penutup mulut dan hidung (face mask) terutamanya semasa mengendalikan kes-kes Influenza Like Illness (ILI) / Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). Selain itu, pemakaian alat pelindung diri (PPE) yang sesuai semasa melakukan sebarang prosedur klinikal adalah amat penting.
Semua anggota kesihatan dan barisan hadapan (frontliners) turut dinasihati untuk mengamalkan langkah-langkah pencegahan seperti yang telah disarankan terutamanya dalam memastikan tangan sentiasa bersih, mengamalkan jarak sosial (social distancing) di dalam dan luar tempat kerja serta pemakaian alat pelindung diri (PPE) mengikut keperluan.
NASIHAT KESIHATAN
Seperti yang diumumkan oleh Yang Berhormat Menteri Kanan (Kluster Keselamatan), didapati masih terdapat segelintir masyarakat yang ingkar kepada Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP). Diperhatikan juga, penduduk zon hijau mulai mengambil mudah situasi tiada kes baharu yang dilaporkan, dan ini sememangnya merisaukan KKM.
KKM juga khuatir masyarakat alpa lalu mengambil mudah nasihat-nasihat kesihatan yang telah dikeluarkan kerana memikirkan bahawa wabak ini hampir selesai. Pada hakikatnya, peperangan menentang musuh yang tidak kelihatan ini masih belum tiba ke penghujungnya. Oleh itu, KKM menyeru kepada semua masyarakat termasuk mereka di kawasan yang diistiharkan sebagai zon hijau agar tidak leka dan kekal mematuhi PKP. Virus COVID-19 adalah musuh kita bersama, namun harus diingat bahawa kelalaian dan sikap ambil mudah masyarakat pula adalah sekutu kepada virus ini.
Masyarakat juga perlu mengamalkan jarak sosial selamat (social distancing) sekurang-kurangnya 1 meter dari orang lain di samping mengamalkan tahap kebersihan diri yang tinggi seperti kerap mencuci tangan dengan air dan sabun.
KKM akan terus memantau perkembangan kejadian COVID-19 melalui segala maklumat yang diperolehi dan akan dimaklumkan kepada rakyat dari semasa ke semasa.

UPDATES ON THE CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)
SITUATION IN MALAYSIA
Current Status of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Who Have Recovered
25 April 2020 – The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 99 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 3,762 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (65.5% of total cumulative cases). The number of cases discharged well is almost double the number of additional cases reported today.
Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia
25 April 2020, 12 pm – A total of 51 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 5,742 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,882 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have been isolated and provided treatment.
Currently, 36 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, 16 cases are on ventilation support.
Regretfully, two (2) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH. Cumulatively, there are now 98 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.71% of total cumulative cases):
- Death #97: Case 2,354 is a 62 year-old Malaysian man with a history of heart disease. He was admitted into Sungai Buloh Hospital on 28 March 2020 and was pronounced dead on 25 April 2020 at 3.53 am.
- Death #98: Case 2,806 is a 62 year-old Malaysian woman with a history of hypertension. She was a close contact to a confirmed COVID-19 case (Case 1,346) who was her offspring. She was admitted into Kuala Lumpur Hospital on 22 March 2020 and was pronounced dead on 24 April 2020 at 5.43 pm.

Current Status of the Bali Person Under Investigation (PUI) Cluster in Kuantan
MOH would like to inform of the current status of the Bali PUI Cluster in a medical centre in Kuantan, Pahang that had involved patients and healthcare workers (HCWs).
The index case (Case 4,684) for this cluster has a history of travelling to Bali, Indonesia. The index case had close contact with Case 1,575 (brother of the index case) who was admitted into the Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) ward of the medical centre on 19 March 2020 with fever and respiratory tract infection symptoms.
To date, there are 43 confirmed COVID-19 cases in this cluster:
- 30 cases being treated at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital, Pahang
- 9 cases have fully recovered
- 1 case being treated in the ICU
- 3 deaths (Cases 1,575, 5,064 and 4,129)
A total of 2,301 COVID-19 tests have been done, involving HCW and patients from the medical centre. Of the 43 confirmed cases in this cluster, ten (10) were HCWs of the medical centre. Infection control measures are being done in close cooperation with MOH, including decontamination and transfer of patients to nearby MOH hospitals. This is to ensure that the medical centre is safe and free from COVID-19 infection.
MOH would like to remind all Government and private HCWs on the importance of using face masks especially when handling cases of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) or Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). In addition, the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is crucial when performing any clinical procedures.
All HCWs and frontliners are also advised to take all the recommended preventive and precautionary measures, such as good hand hygiene, practice social distancing inside and outside of the workplace and use PPE as required.
Health Advisory
As announced by the Senior Minister (Security Cluster), there are still a number of people who have disobeyed the Movement Control Order (MCO). It was also observed that residents in the Green Zones have become more complacent as no new cases were reported. MOH is concerned of this recent situation.
MOH is also concerned that the public are beginning to ignore the health advisories, thinking that the pandemic is almost over. In fact, the fight against this invisible enemy is still far from over. Therefore, MOH urges everyone, including those living in areas declared as Green Zones, to remain vigilant and comply fully to the MCO. The COVID-19 virus is our common enemy, but constantly be reminded that complacency and apathy of the community are the virus’ ally.
The public must practice social distancing at least 1 metre away from others, while maintaining a high level of personal hygiene such as washing hands frequently with water and soap.
MOH will continue to monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation based on all available information, and the public will be continuously updated on the latest information.
