Kenyataan Akhbar KPK 29 April 2020 – Situasi Semasa Jangkitan Penyakit Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) di Malaysia
STATUS TERKINI KES DISAHKAN COVID-19 YANG TELAH PULIH
Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) ingin memaklumkan bahawa terdapat 55 kes yang telah pulih dan dibenarkan discaj pada hari ini. Ini menjadikan jumlah kumulatif kes yang telah pulih sepenuhnya dari COVID-19 dan telah discaj daripada wad adalah sebanyak 4,087 kes (68.75 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).
STATUS TERKINI KES COVID-19 DI MALAYSIA
Sehingga 29 April 2020 pukul 12:00 tengah hari, terdapat 94 kes baharu yang telah dilaporkan. Ini menjadikan jumlah kes positif COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 5,945 kes. Oleh itu, jumlah kes aktif dengan kebolehjangkitan COVID-19 adalah 1,758 kes. Mereka telah diasingkan dan diberi rawatan.
Ingin dimaklumkan bahawa daripada 94 kes baharu yang dilaporkan hari ini, 72 kes adalah kes import melibatkan warganegara dan pelajar Malaysia yang pulang daripada Indonesia. Ini bermakna, kes penularan tempatan (local transmission) adalah 22 kes sahaja.
Sehingga kini, seramai 40 kes positif COVID-19 sedang dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU). Daripada jumlah tersebut, 18 kes memerlukan bantuan pernafasan.
Daripada maklumat terkini yang dilaporkan ke Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) Kebangsaan, dimaklumkan bahawa tiada pertambahan kes kematian berkaitan COVID-19. Justeru, jumlah kumulatif kes kematian COVID-19 di Malaysia kekal sebanyak 100 kes (1.68 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).
MEMPERGIAT AKTIVITI-AKTIVITI SURVELAN DI DALAM KOMUNITI
KKM ingin memaklumkan bahawa sejak awal lagi tindakan pelaksanaan aktiviti-aktiviti survelan telahpun dijalankan di sektor awam dan swasta untuk mengenalpasti aktiviti penularan COVID-19 di kalangan masyarakat setempat di Malaysia. Aktiviti-aktiviti survelan ini merangkumi:
- Survelan klinikal iaitu Influenza Like Illness (ILI) dan Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) di klinik-klinik dan hospital KKM;
- Saringan COVID-19 bagi anggota kesihatan;
- Persampelan sebelum pembedahan kecemasan di hospital KKM;
- Persampelan di makmal-makmal swasta.
Persampelan ILI telah dijalankan di lapan (8) buah lokasi Klinik Kesihatan KKM dari seluruh negara yang dikenali sebagai lokasi sentinel (sentinel site). Persampelan ini meliputi semua pesakit yang datang ke klinik-klinik kesihatan ini dengan gejala demam (suhu lebih daripada 38°C) dengan batuk dan sakit tekak, namun tanpa sebarang risiko terdedah kepada COVID-19 yang diketahui. Sebanyak lima (5) sampel akan diambil dari setiap lokasi sentinel tersebut dan dihantar ke makmal untuk ujian pengesanan COVID-19 bagi analisa survelan ini.
Manakala, persampelan SARI pula adalah melibatkan ujian pengesanan COVID-19 untuk semua pesakit dengan jangkitan paru-paru (pneumonia) dari semua hospital KKM di Malaysia.
Sehingga kini, sebanyak 34,113 sampel telah diambil daripada aktiviti-aktiviti survelan. Daripada jumlah keseluruhan tersebut, sebanyak 6,100 adalah sampel klinikal survelan iaitu ILI / SARI, di mana 71 sampel disahkan positif COVID-19 (iaitu 1.16 peratus):
- Kes ILI: 8 kes positif COVID-19 daripada 1,322 sampel
- Kes SARI: 63 kes positif COVID-19 daripada 4,778 sampel
Bagi kes SARI terdapat penurunan kes positif COVID-19 yang ketara di antara minggu epidemiologi ke-17 (25 April 2020), di mana hanya sebanyak tiga (3) sampel disahkan positif daripada 2,168 sampel kes SARI yang telah diambil (iaitu 0.14 peratus) berbanding dengan minggu epidemiologi ke-12 (28 Mac 2020), di mana 33 sampel disahkan positif daripada 263 jumlah sampel kes SARI (iaitu 11.15 peratus).
KKM juga memantau keputusan ujian COVID-19 yang dijalankan di sektor swasta, di mana ujian ini dihantar ke makmal swasta. Didapati terdapat 84 kes positif dikesan daripada 22,081 ujian yang dijalankan di makmal-makmal swasta ini (iaitu 0.38 peratus).
Aktiviti survelan ini sememangnya bertindak sebagai sistem pengesanan awal (early detection) dan sistem amaran awal (early warning) bagi penularan COVID-19 di Malaysia. Pihak KKM akan terus menjalankan aktiviti survelan COVID-19 di Malaysia walaupun selepas PKP ditamatkan, di mana aktiviti ini akan terus dimantapkan lagi termasuk di sektor swasta dan melibatkan pelbagai zon.
NASIHAT KESIHATAN BERKAITAN COVID-19
Rakyat Malaysia dinasihatkan agar terus mengamalkan tahap kebersihan yang optimum pada setiap masa, seperti kerap mencuci tangan dengan menggunakan air dan sabun serta mengamalkan jarak sosial selamat (social distancing) sekurang-kurangnya 1 meter dari orang lain.
KKM akan terus memantau perkembangan kejadian COVID-19 melalui segala maklumat yang diperolehi dan akan dimaklumkan kepada rakyat dari semasa ke semasa.

UPDATES ON THE CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)
SITUATION IN MALAYSIA
Current Status of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Who Have Recovered
29 April 2020 – The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 55 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 4,087 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well (68.75% of total cumulative cases).
Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia
29 April 2020, 12 pm – A total of 94 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 5,945 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,758 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have been isolated and provided treatment.
Of these 94 additional cases reported today, 72 are imported cases amongst Malaysian students returning home from Indonesia. The remaining 22 cases are due to local transmission.
Currently, 40 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, 18 cases are on ventilation support.
Fortunately, no additional COVID-19 death was reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there remains 100 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.68% of total cumulative cases).
Strengthening Surveillance Activities in the Community
MOH would like to inform that from the beginning, surveillance activities have been carried out in the public and private sectors to identify local transmission of COVID-19 within the community in Malaysia. The surveillance activities included:
- Clinical surveillance i.e. Influenza Like Illness (ILI) and Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) in MOH clinics and hospitals
- COVID-19 screening amongst healthcare workers
- Pre-emergency surgery sampling in MOH hospitals
- Sampling in private laboratories
ILI sampling is performed at eight (8) MOH health clinics throughout the country identified as sentinel sites. Samples are taken amongst patients attending these health clinics with sudden onset of fever (temperature above 38°C) with cough and sore throat, but without any known risk for COVID-19 infection. A total of five (5) samples are taken from each sentinel site and sent to the laboratory for COVID-19 testing for this surveillance analysis.
Meanwhile, SARI sampling involves COVID-19 testing for all patients with pneumonia from all MOH hospitals in Malaysia.
To date, a total of 34,113 samples have been tested for these surveillance activities. Of these, 6,100 were clinical samples of patients with ILI and SARI, of which 71 were positive for COVID-19 (1.16%):
- ILI cases: 8 COVID-19 positive cases out of 1,322 samples
- SARI cases: 63 COVID-19 positive cases out of 4,778 samples
For SARI cases, there is a significant decrease in COVID-19 positive cases during the 17th epidemiological week (25 April 2020) during which only three (3) samples were positive from the 2,168 SARI samples tested (0.14 %), compared to the 12th epidemiological week (28 March 2020) during which 33 samples were positive from the 263 SARI samples tested (11.15%).
MOH also monitors the results of COVID-19 testing conducted in the private sector, where samples are sent to private laboratories. It was found that 84 positive cases were detected from 22,081 tests conducted in these private laboratories (0.38%).
These surveillance activities act as an early detection and early warning system for the spread or transmission of COVID-19 in Malaysia. MOH will continue to carry out COVID-19 surveillance activities in Malaysia even after when the Movement Control Order (MCO) is lifted, whereby these activities will continue to be strengthened, including within the private sector and involving the various zones.
Health Advisory on COVID-19
Malaysians are advised to continue to maintain high levels of personal hygiene at all times, such as regularly hand washing with water and soap, and practice safe social distancing at least 1 metre away from others.
MOH will continue to monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation based on all available information, and the public will be continuously updated on the latest information.
