Kenyataan Akhbar KPK 18 April 2020 – Situasi Semasa Jangkitan Penyakit Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) di Malaysia
STATUS TERKINI KES DISAHKAN COVID-19 YANG TELAH PULIH
Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) ingin memaklumkan bahawa terdapat 135 kes yang telah pulih dan dibenarkan discaj pada hari ini. Ini menjadikan jumlah kumulatif kes yang telah pulih sepenuhnya dari COVID-19 dan telah discaj daripada wad adalah sebanyak 3,102 kes (58.5 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).
STATUS TERKINI COVID-19 DI MALAYSIA
Sehingga 18 April 2020 pukul 12:00 tengah hari, terdapat 54 kes baharu yang telah dilaporkan. Ini menjadikan jumlah kes positif COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 5,305 kes. Oleh itu, jumlah kes aktif dengan kebolehjangkitan COVID-19 adalah 2,115 kes. Mereka telah diasingkan dan diberi rawatan.
Sehingga kini, seramai 49 kes positif COVID-19 sedang dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU). Daripada jumlah tersebut, 26 kes memerlukan bantuan pernafasan.
Daripada maklumat terkini yang dilaporkan ke Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) Kebangsaan, dukacita dimaklumkan bahawa terdapat pertambahan dua (2) kes kematian berkaitan COVID-19. Justeru, jumlah kumulatif kes kematian COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 88 kes (1.66 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes):
- Kes kematian ke-87 (kes ke-2657) merupakan lelaki warganegara Malaysia berumur 60 tahun. Beliau mempunyai latar belakang penyakit darah tinggi dan kencing manis. Beliau telah dirawat di Hospital Kuala Lumpur pada 30 Mac 2020 dan disahkan meninggal dunia pada 12 April 2020 jam 3.20 petang.
- Kes kematian ke-88 (kes ke-5252) merupakan lelaki warganegara Myanmar berumur 36 tahun. Beliau telah dirawat di Hospital Selayang pada 17 April 2020 dan datang pada peringkat yang lewat dengan jangkitan paru-paru Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). Beliau disahkan meninggal dunia pada hari yang sama pada jam 10.00 pagi.
KKM mengucapkan takziah kepada ahli keluarga mereka.
KLUSTER PETUGAS KESIHATAN DI SABAH
Kluster petugas kesihatan di Sabah merupakan satu kluster yang melibatkan tiga (3) buah hospital Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia di Sabah iaitu Hospital Queen Elizabeth 2, Hospital Wanita dan Kanak-kanak, Likas dan Hospital Keningau. Sehingga 18 April 2020, terdapat 31 kes yang telah dikenalpasti positif COVID-19 dalam kluster ini, termasuk dua (2) kes baru dilaporkan hari ini. Kesemua kes masih dalam rawatan setakat ini. Kluster ini terdiri daripada 23 petugas kesihatan dan lapan (8) ahli keluarga / orang awam.
Kluster ini mula dikesan apabila keputusan ujian COVID-19 adalah positif pada 2 April 2020 bagi salah seorang kakitangan hospital yang melapor diri di Hospital Queen Elizabeth 2. Beliau didapati tidak sihat dan mempunyai gejala batuk dan selesema pada hari tersebut. Siasatan dan saringan bagi kontak kakitangan tersebut telah dijalankan. Jangkitan COVID-19 telah didapati positif bagi beberapa rakan setugas serta ahli keluarga.
Kesemua 31 kes masih berada di dalam wad dan adalah berada dalam keadaan stabil. Tiada kes yang mendapat jangkitan ini semasa mengendalikan pesakit COVID-19.
ULASAN PENURUNAN KES COVID-19
KKM ingin mengucapkan ribuan terima kasih kepada semua petugas barisan hadapan dalam menghadapi kejadian COVID-19 di Malaysia. Tiga (3) bulan telah berlalu sejak kes pertama COVID-19 dilaporkan ke CPRC Kebangsaan, KKM. Semua petugas barisan hadapan dari semua agensi telah bertungkus-lumus setiap hari dalam mengawal kejadian ini. Pihak KKM menghargai dengan kerjasama yang telah diberikan dan ingin memohon agar petugas barisan hadapan kekal cekal dan bertabah kerana bersama kami dapat memerangi penularan COVID-19 ini.
Namun begitu, KKM juga khuatir sekiranya penurunan jumlah kes beberapa hari ini disalaherti serta membuatkan masyarakat alpa lalu mengambil mudah Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) kerana memikirkan bahawa wabak ini hampir selesai.
NASIHAT KESIHATAN
Susulan itu, KKM ingin menasihatkan Rakyat Malaysia agar terus patuh kepada Perintah Pergerakan Kawalan (PKP). Walaupun perkembangan dalam penurunan kes ini sememangnya positif namun masyarakat masih perlu berada di rumah, mengamalkan jarak sosial yang selamat (social distancing) sekurang-kurangya 1 meter dari orang lain dan juga mengamalkan kebersihan diri yang tinggi seperti kerap mencuci tangan dengan menggunakan air dan sabun. Pendekatan ini penting dalam memutuskan rantaian penularan jangkitan.
Pihak KKM akan terus memantau perkembangan kejadian COVID-19 melalui maklumat yang diperolehi dan akan dimaklumkan kepada rakyat dari semasa ke semasa.

UPDATES ON THE CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)
SITUATION IN MALAYSIA
Current Status of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Who Have Recovered
18 April 2020 – The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 135 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 3,102 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well (58.5% of total cumulative cases).
Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia
18 April 2020, 12 pm – A total of 54 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 5,305 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 2,115 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have been isolated and provided treatment.
Currently, 49 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, 26 cases are on ventilation support.
Regretfully, two (2) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH. Cumulatively, there are now 88 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.66% of total cumulative cases):
- Death #87: Case 2,657 is a 60 year-old Malaysian man with a history of hypertension and diabetes. He was admitted into Kuala Lumpur Hospital on 30 March 2020 and was pronounced dead on 12 April 2020 at 3.20 pm.
- Death #88: Case 5,252 is a 36 year-old Myanmar national man. He was admitted into Selayang Hospital, Selangor on 17 April 2020 with late stage Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) and was pronounced dead on the same day 17 April 2020 at 10.00 am.
MOH conveys condolences to all family members.
COVID-19 Cluster Amongst Healthcare Workers in Sabah
The healthcare worker (HCW) cluster in Sabah comprises of three MOH hospitals, i.e. Queen Elizabeth 2 Hospital, Women and Children’s Hospital, Likas and Keningau Hospital. As of 18 April 2020, there were 31 confirmed COVID-19 cases identified in this cluster, including two additional cases reported today. All of these cases are still under treatment. This cluster involves 23 HCWs and eight family members and the general public.
This cluster was first detected when one HCW who reported for duty at Queen Elizabeth 2 Hospital was found to be positive for COVID-19 on 2 April 2020. This HCW was unwell and had cough and flu symptoms that same day. Investigation and contact tracing activities have been conducted. Several work colleagues and family members were found to be positive.
All 31 cases are still in the ward and are in stable condition. None of these cases were due to managing and treating confirmed COVID-19 patients.
Recent Reduction of COVID-19 Cases
MOH would like to thank all frontline personnel in managing the COVID-19 situation in Malaysia. Three months have passed since the first confirmed COVID-19 case was reported to the National CPRC, MOH. All frontline personnel from all ministries and agencies have worked hard every day to prevent and control the infection. MOH appreciates all the cooperation given and continue to request all frontline personnel to remain strong and committed as we continue the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, MOH is deeply concerned that the reduction of cases in the past few days may be misinterpreted and misperceived by the public that the current pandemic is almost over, making the public less concerned and less compliant to the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Health Advisory on COVID-19
Therefore, MOH strongly urges the public to continue to comply to all advisories and measures under the MCO. While the reduction in number of cases is a positive development, the public must continue to stay at home, practice social distancing of at least one (1) metre from others, and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all times, such as regular hand washing with water and soap. These measures are important in reducing and breaking the transmission chain of COVID-19 infection.
MOH will continue to monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation based on all available information, and the public will be continuously updated on the latest information.
