SERDANG: A body of a woman was discovered in a pool of blood at a parking lot in Pusat Bandar Puchong Jaya here.

Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Ismadi Borhan said the woman, in her 50s, was discovered at about 10.20pm on Wednesday (Feb 19).


"The victim had slash wounds on her body.

"Further checks revealed that a car at the parking lot belonged to the victim;" he said when contacted.


He added the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

"The forensic team and K9 unit are combing the surrounding area. We will also check CCTV footage," he said.

The body has been sent to a nearby hospital for a post-mortem examination, ACP Ismadi said. He also urged anyone with information to contact the nearest police station as soon as possible.
