Najib, Zahid attend MCA's vibrant CNY open house

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor arrived at MCA’s Chinese New Year open house at Wisma MCA here at 9.50am today.

They joined more than 1,000 members of the public who began arriving here as early as 8am.

Najib, clad in a batik shirt, was greeted upon arrival by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

The prime minister was welcomed with a dazzling lion dance performance, after which he watered a Bonsai plant to officially launch the event.

Also present are MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, his deputy Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong, and MCA leaders and members.

Together with Rosmah, Zahid and Liow, Najib tossed the "Yee Sang" before partaking in the delicious food on offer.
