Man forces teen to send nude photos]
KUANTAN: A teenage girl has been sending nude photos of herself to a man she met in an online game.
For several years, he allegedly groomed her until she willingly obeyed him when he asked her to secretly shoot videos of her mother and sisters in the nude for him.
Xiaoyu (not her real name) was 12 years old when she met the man, identified only as Ho, while playing the game in June 2012 and they started chatting through Instant Messenger.
A few months later, Ho started asking for photos and then pictures of her in the nude, which the teenager sent.
“After that, he told me to keep sending him more nude photos of myself or he would spread them everywhere,” Xiaoyu, who is now 16, told reporters yesterday.
She claimed that Ho came to Kuantan in November 2014 and took her to a hotel where he forced himself on her.
He would frequently turn up after that to have sex by blackmailing her with the photos, she said.
She last had sex with him on June 18 and 19.
Soon after, Ho told her to place her phone in the bathroom at home, to shoot secret videos of her mother and two elder sisters while they showered.
“I had to send the videos to him or he would post my nude photos on the Internet,” she said.
Ho then started to blackmail Xiaoyu’s eldest sister through social media, saying that he had a video of her naked.
Initially, the mother and sisters thought it was the ex-boyfriend of the eldest sister who was doing this but on Sunday evening Xiaoyu finally told them the truth.
Xiaoyu said that Ho had started a blog recently and had uploaded eight photos of her nude.
“I am under a lot of pressure and sometimes I can’t sleep the whole night. I have even thought of killing myself,” she said.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong’s special assistant, Quek Tai Seong, has taken Xiaoyu to lodge a police report.
Quek said MCA Youth would provide legal assistance and arrange counselling for Xiaoyu.
He suspects that others may have fallen prey to Ho and urged them, or any others in a similar predicament, to come forward.
