Teenager allegedly raped by friend's boyfriend

KAMPAR: A 16-year-old student has reported to the police that she was raped by her friend's boyfriend, more than three weeks after the alleged incident.
Relating the Sept 1 incident at a press conference here Thursday, Kampar OCPD Superintendent Ng Kong Soon said the victim had gone out for dinner with her friend and the suspect, a 31-year-old mechanic, at about 10.15pm.
"After that, the suspect invited the victim to his rented house in Taman Bandar Baru Kampar to watch television.
"While doing so, he asked her to have sex but she refused.
"Ignoring her, the suspect caught hold of the victim. She tried to push him away but failed.
"He then pinned her down, kissed her and tore away her clothes before raping her.
"The incident was believed to have taken place at about midnight," said Supt Ng, adding that the suspect later sent the victim home at about 3.30am.
According to Supt Ng, the victim was traumatised and overcome by fear as a result of the incident.
"She only lodged a police report on Monday (Sept 26) and was sent for examination at the Kampar Hospital.
"The suspect was caught at about 6.15pm the same day the report was lodged.
"He has also since admitted to the rape," Supt Ng said.
The suspect is being remanded until Oct 3 to facilitate investigations.
