Malaysia's Siti Noor Iasah Mohamad Ariffin was edged out of the bronze medal for the women's 400m final in the T20 (intellectual disability) category at the Paralympics Games in Rio de Janeiro after Poland’s Barbara Niewiedzial fell just before the finish giving her a heads up over the finish line.

Clark, of Los Angeles, California, is the daughter of Rosalyn Clark [nee Bryant] who was part of the silver winning 4x400m relay team at the 1976 Montreal Olympics.

The autistic young woman trains at the Rancho Cienega Recreation Center in Los Angeles and attended Pasadena City College.

Silver went to Ukraine’s Natalia Iezlovetska and the bronze was secured by Poland’s Barbara Niewiedzial.
