Liow: Airline debris found in Tanzania confirmed to be from MH370

SEPANG: The plane debris found in Tanzania has been confirmed to be part of the missing MH370, said Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
The Transport Minister said the serial number and date of manufacturing of the debris matched that of the Malaysia Airlines jetliner.
"It is an outboard wing flap.
"The investigation team will look into other details now and study how the accident happened, whether it is a controlled or uncontrolled ditch," he said.
It was reported that the plane part was discovered in late June on Tanzania’s Pemba Island, which is in the Indian Ocean.
It was sent to Australia for its Transport and Safety Bureau to carry out analysis.
Liow was officiating a function at the Sepang Aircraft Engineering hangar near the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) here on Thursday afternoon to welcome AirAsia's latest aircraft, an Airbus A320neo.
